Portée éducative des chants traditionnels wassolonka en Guinée : cas de donsosaya1 de Toumany Diakité

Résumé

Le présent article traite de la portée éducative des chants traditionnels wassolonka3 en Guinée, précisément dans la Préfecture de Mandiana, à l’extrême Est du pays. Le corpus choisi est tiré du répertoire musical de Toumany Diakité, un chanteur renommé de la corporation des chanteurs traditionnels appelés communément dans la langue du terroir, donsodjély4. Dans cette étude, l’objectif visé est de mettre en lumière, à l’aide de la sociocritique et l’analyse thématique, la force et la pertinence des messages véhiculés ainsi que leur impact sur le comportement des membres de la communauté. Cela a permis non seulement de faire découvrir, en amont, le peuple wassolonka, mais aussi de cerner l’apport des genres de sa littérature orale, notamment le chant, dans le processus d’éducation en milieu traditionnel à travers la performance des donsodjély qui sont les principaux détenteurs, mais aussi transmetteurs du riche patrimoine oral.

Abstract

This article deals with the educational significance of traditional wassolonka songs in Guinean specifically in the Prefecture of Mandiana, in the far east of the country. The chosen corpus is taken from the musical repertoire of Toumany Diakité, a renowned singer, from the corporation of traditional singers commnly called in the local language donsodjely (or the cantor of the traditional hunters). In this study, the objective is to highlight, using thematical analysis, the strength and relevance of the messages conveyed as well as their impact on the behavior of community members. This made it possible to discover the wassolonka people in depth, in favor of a summary presentation, and to identify the conribution of the genres of their oral literature, in partiular singing, in their process of education in traditional environment througt the performance of the donsodjely who are the bearers, but also the transmitters, of a rich oral heritage.
